JOEL'S MYSTERY TOUR

Traditional Meeting Place - McCurdy Corner.

Kelowna Flower Farm

Six vehicles took part in Joel’s very interesting first tour; he has more planned for the summer.
There were 28 intersection turns involved to manoeuvre the course of about 15 or so kilometres.
We had an interesting stop at Munson Pond, which many of us had not seen before!
Next stop was at Kelowna Flower Farm. What a variety of tropical fruits they have... lemons, kiwi, limes, a type of grapefruit etc.

From there, Joel led the convoy to the Mission Park Trout Pond.

After a lot of direction changes we arrived at Joel and Marie’s. After a garage and recreation room memorabilia tour, we enjoyed our lunch on their deck. What a fantastic view of the valley from their vantage point.

Thank you Joel and Marie.

Chapter Web Master - In past years Thursday was our day for mini driving experiences. Hopefully they will be resurrected for July & August. Keep and eye on our Web Calendar and or a Message from Joel.

JUNE GENERAL MEETING AND CHILI DINNER AT THE OLTMANN'S

Don gave George an Original Owners Manual for his 1967 Pontiac Pathfinder.

And we thought Jim was only being Secretary for the day!

Now folks, you needed to be there to hear another 'Great Jim Story'!

Oops! A little liquid sunshine!

Sorry folks, no pictures, both Camera guys were busy eating delicious Chili, salad and a bun.

Desserts were pretty exceptional, too!

Time to head on home!

A few drips to look after first.

THANK YOU LYNN thank for the delicious Chili, salad, buns and desserts!

A THANK YOU to her helpers!

A BIG THANK YOU to Lynn & Otto for once again hosting our June Meeting.

As usual there were lots of nice comments and stories from the residents and lots of time for our members to socialize as well.

Another 'JIM STORY'

The 1939 Oldsmobile was full of parts from Oroville that I was delivering in West Kelowna and Kelowna.  I had some other errands planned as well and then the Peachland Wellness Centre called me early Thursday morning, desperate for a driver from KGH to the Peachland. The picture here it is as loaded in Oroville.  The largest box is a 1957 Thunderbird windshield for a West Kelowna glass shop.

Given it was a gentleman I was picking up, I figured he wouldn’t mind the un-restored car. I had to wait a while at the hospital for the fellow to finish dialysis and the Olds looked a little unusual parked there. Of course I had delivered my goods prior to arriving at KGH.
