ORCHARD GARDENS SHOW & SHINE

The fastest looking car was a . . .

. . . 1966 Corvette owned by a prospective Chapter  member, Gene.

Glen and Debbie's 1955 Chevy Pickup . . .

. . . won Best Paint job.

Best Overall and Best Wheels was the 1935 Ford owned . . .

. . .by Larry and Anne.

Sexiest Car was Judy's . . .

. . . 1960 Corvette convertible.

Best interior was the 1949 Willys wagon . . .

. . . owned by Marilyn and Ed.

Orchard Gardens was an ideal setting for our car show.

There was lots of room to park our 18 cars and there was a nice shaded area for us to sit.

Coffee and donuts were available from the start and lunch was BBQ hamburgers and salads. Very tasty!

Good music played all day and it was a very fun atmosphere from start to finish!

The residents loved the cars and told us it is a highlight of the year when we come.

They love ❤️ it!

Thank you to all that participated and made this another great day for everyone involved!

Joel's Thursday Mystery Driving Tour #4

Karma Fruit Co. Very interesting stop, they manufactured their own variety of fruit  drink products.

Everything is done in house using an effervescence device along with a canning machine.

They also have an RV park on site, some with a lake view almost to Summerland.

. . .  problem it started to RAIN!

Though we had some rain, our small group was high on enthusiasm as Joel guided us on amazingly scenic drive around town.

Eventually dropping in on Peggy for an indoor lunch.

THANK YOU PEGGY for the use of your home for our picnic lunch!

THANK YOU JOEL & MARIE for another interesting Thursday Driving Tour!

ICE CREAM RUN.

A little 'Liquid Sunshine' to start the day.

At least Ian brought along the proper gear, and . . .

. . .  the top came up on the Buick to keep Duncan & Bobbie dry!

First stop was Christie Memorial Park in Okanagan Falls.

Hmmmmmm, we pretty well had the Park to ourselves.

TICKLEBERRY'S in Okanagan Falls.

Hard to believe it is July in . . .

. . . the usually very warm South Okanagan!

Sometimes 'The Plan Has A Wrinkle In It.'

Time to find another place to Dine.

THANKS GLEN & DEBBIE FO ANOTHER FUN DAY!

Joel's Thursday Mystery Driving Tour #5

A lovely drive over to North Glenmore.

This is a delightful area to visit in the Spring and check out the Frisky Foals.

Geert Maas Sculpture Gardens and Gallery.

Featuring one of the largest collections of bronze sculptures in Canada as well as numerous paintings and other works.

The Gardens and Gallery welcome thousands of visitors from around the world to the frequently changing exhibitions.

There is a beautiful outdoor collection as well.

Check out Geert and Elly's web page for more information  - http://www.geertmaas.org/

Next stop, a visit Darin of PJ's Cakes Fame . . .

. . . . Some of us recall his former Business Address on Richter!

He is a Baker, Welder, and Artist, who builds hot rods/customs vehicles.

'

He has a huge collection of old cars and trucks that he creates sculptures out of.

We finished with a scenic drive above Rutland to Kirschner Mountain for lunch on Marie & Joel's sundeck.  THANK YOU JOEL & MARIE, for another interesting Tour.
